My business is not as much fun as it use to be

Most entrepreneurs go into business, believe it or not, because they want to have fun, or at least enhanced satisfaction working, and to have control or their destiny.  As a business expands, however, the feeling of control dissipates as you come to rely more and more on other people and processes.  Accordingly, it may be less fun than it used to be.

These are some of the things we hear from clients…..

  • “Considering how hard I work, I am not making enough money.”
  • “I do not get enough time with my family.”
  • “Employees are not as diligent as I am and they avoid responsibility.”
  • “My time is taken up with everyone else’s problems.”
  • “I get bogged down in details and administration.”
  • “I do not know how I will get out of the business.”

Do any of these sound familiar?

Let me suggest a Strategic Planning Day in our office.  The outcome will be a written strategic plan, which will address your concerns and chart a way forward to increase profits and greater job satisfaction (or even fun).

Please let me know if this would be of interest to you…and we can forget the “day” bit for smaller businesses, but if you do not think it is time well spent, there will be no fee!

(PS if you think “strategy” is something for PLCs; please see the attached article)
